Objectives
Panchakarma, an ayurveda therapy is also promoted by Ministry of AYUSH, govt.of INDIA and as it is a detoxification technology for mind, body & soul, so ultimately promotes Beauty & wellness sector.
Due to this demand, NIOS has developed skill based comprehensive course “Panchakarma assistant” which covers theory as well as practical to provide its learners the knowledge of karmas and its hands-on procedures both for proper assistance to a Panchakarma specialist.
Panchakarma, a ayurvedic healing method has a wide scope
- Hospitals / Dispensaries: Assist the physician before, after and during Panchakarma by preparing the patient, equipment, therapy room, medicines etc.
- Counsel patients regarding Panchakarma
- Self employed by home visits to needy bed ridden patients
- Corporate units: mostly pharmaceutical companies hire Ayurveda graduates to work as clinical researchers to supervise/monitor drug research
- Can improve job prospects in other avenues through additional qualifications
